1st Option: Discounts Available

bullet$1500 Phase I tuition (up to $700 in discounts) due with signed Letter of Agreement and before accessing online courses.
bullet$3000 Phase II & III tuition may be deducted from the teaching salary at a rate of $300 per month for ten months.  Candidate must complete a Payroll Deduction Form or Electronic Transfer before starting the internship. 
bulletUp to $700  in discounts available: 1) past teaching experience; 2) teacher or principal reference letter; 3) advanced degree; 4) enroll with a friend; 5) Teach for America Summer Institute; 6) military service; or 7) transfer from another ATCP.

2nd Option: Discounts Allowable

bullet$850 (towards enrollment fee of $1500 or enrollment fee with discounts) Phase I tuition due with signed Letter of Agreement and before accessing online courses.
bullet$3650 (changes if discounts received) Phase II & III tuition may be deducted from the teaching salary at a rate of $365 per month for ten months.

3rd Option: No Discounts Allowable

bullet$600 (towards enrollment fee of $1500--$500 plus $100 extension fee) Phase I tuition due with signed Letter of Agreement and before accessing online courses.
bullet$4000 Phase II & III tuition may be deducted from the teaching salary at a rate of $400 per month for ten months.

4th Option: No Discounts Allowable

bullet$300 (towards enrollment fee of $1500---$100 plus $200 extension fee) Phase I tuition due with signed Letter of Agreement and before accessing online courses.
bullet$4400 Phase II & III tuition may be deducted from the teaching salary at a rate of $440 per month for ten months.

Particulars

bulletIf the candidate does not secure a teaching position, preferring instead to acquire additional teaching experience by serving as a substitute teacher or educational aide in the classroom, candidate is not required to pay Phase II or III fees during the academic year. Candidate may continue to access Phase II & III courses without penalties.
bulletIf the candidate does not secure a teaching position, student may continue working on the online courses and attending the workshops.
bulletA candidate may take a leave from the program at anytime without penalties.
bulletA second or third Probationary Certificate issued by TEACH carries financial penalties.

Financial Aid Programs & Grants

Financial aid is available from several sources, listed below are just a few programs which might be helpful as you pursue your teaching certificate (Info, SBEC website).

bullet Certified Educational Aide Exemption Program: Texas offers tuition exemption for educational aides seeking to become certified teachers.
bullet Teach for America: This program offers cash awards that can be applied to educational costs for recent college graduates who commit to teaching in public schools for two years.
bullet Teach for Texas: Texas offers conditional grants to assist future teachers who agree to teach in Texas public schools for a specific time period.  
bullet Troops to Teachers: This program offers guidance and support for military veterans who make the transition from active duty into the teaching profession.
bullet The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board: The board administers grants for attending college.
bullet G.I. Bill Benefits: for test fees.
