Hands-on Workshops

TEACH Teachers are required to participate in  4-onsite workshops, view 2-TEACH videos & attend a district-wide PD workshop if you live with a 40-mile radius of Austin. If you live out-side of the 40-mile radius, TEACH videos are posted to you & you attend district-wide PD workshops in your area.

Online Workshops: Three web-based workshops accessible  through the web are available: Digital Portfolio, Kerissa Bearce, AISD; Integrating the curriculum & technology, Kenneth Parmely, DVISD; Multimedia, Dr. Q, TQ.

Onsite Workshop focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of the classroom. As such, workshop presenters integrate the monthly topic, certificate alignment, and innovative technologies (iTECH) into each presentation.  Workshop participants build, construct, and create classroom materials rather than just sit and listen to a lecture!!!

Workshop Location: For location and workshop specifics consult message board or call Dr. Q at 928-8423.

Workshop Frame: Each presenter integrates the specific topic scheduled with a  teacher's classroom challenges.  Presenters  guide participants in designing, creating, & delivering teaching materials for/to the classroom. As part of iTECH, participants engage with and are provided software beneficial to them and their students.
